Biography
Tony joined Nature United in 2025 to lead the conservation team, supporting staff in designing and executing strategy, building influential relationships and delivering meaningful impact for people and nature.
Prior to joining Nature United, Tony was Deputy Director of Policy in the Office of Canada’s Prime Minister where he oversaw the government’s climate, nature and clean growth agenda, providing strategic advice and coordinating implementation across the federal government. He has served as Director of Legislative Affairs at Ecojustice, leading the organization’s law reform and government relations strategy and as WWF-Canada’s Freshwater Program Director. Tony also holds a Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Royal Roads University.
An avid hiker, paddler and long-distance cyclist, he spends as much time as possible in nature, gaining inspiration that he has channelled into two decades of work fighting climate change, protecting biodiversity and building a sustainable economy.
