Biography
Samantha (Sam) joined Nature United as the Agriculture Program Specialist in 2025. In this role, she provides systems management for the Agriculture Program to ensure effective coordination of cross-functional teams.
Prior to working for Nature United, Sam worked at Spur Line Crop Solutions, an agricultural start-up based in Saskatchewan. There, she helped build the business to its current success by providing expert consulting on funding programs to farm clients, creating and implementing Spur Line’s internal processes and systems and designing and writing most of the business and marketing materials for the company. Sam holds a B.Sc. in Agroecology and an M.Sc. in Plant Science, both from the University of Manitoba. Her master’s thesis project focused on studying the agronomic and economic impacts of biodiverse cropping systems under water-limited conditions in the Canadian Prairies.
When not at work, Sam enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, kayaking, traveling, tending to her house plants and reading.
