Biography
I joined Nature United as Prairies Agriculture Program Manager in January 2024. In this role, I am dedicated to advancing Nature United's strategy for implementing Natural Climate Solutions within agricultural systems, with a particular emphasis on the Canadian Prairies. My responsibilities include providing technical expertise in agricultural sustainability and soil health, fostering key relationships with principal stakeholders in the agricultural sector and coordinating collaborative initiatives with partners in advancing nature-based strategies for reducing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions in the Canadian prairies.
Prior to joining Nature United, I worked as a research scientist at an applied research association based in Alberta, Canada, where I led a grant-based research program focused on promoting sustainable agronomic management and soil health practices in annual cropping systems. My academic background includes a Ph.D. in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan, with a research focus on the soil carbon sequestration potential of agroforestry systems.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking or reading books.
