Biography
Florence Eastwood is a retired educator having taught in elementary and adult education settings for over 35 years. She lives in in Winnipeg. Florence studied at the University of Winnipeg and did post-graduate work at the University of Manitoba. Early in her career, she served her teachers' professional association in various leadership roles including contract negotiations. She is a lifelong volunteer, working as a leader and organizer on political and community organizations and boards. In recent years she has volunteered for the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre working on its yearly major fundraising effort. She is director of the Lake Winnipeg Foundation (an environmental non-governmental organization seeking solutions to ensure a clean, healthy Lake Winnipeg and watershed).
