Biography

Caroline Cathcart has over 20 years of leadership and investment management experience. Prior to joining RPIA in July 2015, Caroline was Vice President, Corporate Development at Dundee Global Investment Management and was part of the executive team focused on building an alternative investment platform. She was also a Portfolio Manager with Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel Inc. Caroline’s past experience includes the investment management of a number of Alternative Investment funds as well as private wealth management for select high net worth clients. In addition, she was instrumental in the development of a $4 billion wealth management business at a boutique investment firm. Caroline has extensive experience managing investment teams, exempt market products and investment infrastructure and is a recognized leader in the investment management industry.

In 2017, Caroline was nominated for the WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100™ Awards. 

Caroline is an active community volunteer, serving on the Executive Committee of 100 Women in Finance (Toronto). Caroline is also a prominent supporter of  UNICEF Canada. She is a member of UNICEF Canada’s UNdaunted Campaign Cabinet and of The 25th Team, a leadership circle of 60 Canadian women which has partnered with the Government of Canada to save the lives of vulnerable women and children in Cambodia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Namibia and Peru.

Caroline holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI®), a member of the CFA Institute and a member of the CFA Society of Toronto.
