Biography
Alexandria started at Nature United in April 2025. In this role, she provides strategic leadership on government relations and policy across the Prairie region. She works with governments, Indigenous Nations and cross-sector partners to advance Nature United’s conservation priorities, including Indigenous-led conservation, Natural Climate Solutions and sustainable agriculture. Her work focuses on influencing policy and decision-making through relationship-building, policy analysis and collaborative strategy development.
Alexandria brings over eight years of experience in policy development, advocacy and government relations to her role. A proud Manitoban, Alexandria is passionate about advancing conservation solutions that reflect the lived realities of prairie communities. Her work focuses on connecting grassroots insights with high-level policymaking to ensure that policy outcomes are not only strategic, but grounded in community needs and Indigenous leadership.
Before joining Nature United, Alexandria led policy, advocacy and government relations strategies for numerous INGOs. Previously, she served as Community Liaison for a Manitoba Senator, where she facilitated partnerships with youth, Indigenous organizations and community leaders across the province.
Alexandria is an active member of many Canadian based coalitions including as a Steering Committee member for the Canadian Coalition for Youth, Peace & Security – which she co-founded in 2020 – and the Women, Peace and Security Network - Canada.
Alexandria holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies and Diplomacy from the UN-mandated University for Peace, where her research focused on community-led governance in sustainable development. At Nature United, Alexandria is committed to shaping policy that honors the knowledge and leadership of prairie communities and supports long-term, sustainable conservation outcomes.
