Biography

Alexandra started at Nature United in 2022 as the Indigenous Guardians Support Lead, coordinating the Technical Support Team of the Indigenous Guardians Toolkit. In her role Alexandra provides support to Indigenous Guardians by sharing tools and resources, facilitating workshops, connecting people, hosting webinars and working with partners to advance Indigenous stewardship capacity. In this role Alexandra supports the larger work of Nature United and partners within the Indigenous-led conservation pillar.

Alexandra is passionate about advancing Indigenous-led stewardship, Through her graduate research at the University of Waterloo, Alexandra worked with Fort McKay First Nation to explore Indigenous-led monitoring models of reclaimed sites in Treaty 8 Territory.

When not at work you can find Alexandra off for a run, hike, or in colder weather, baking up a storm.
